F.L.A.G. LITTLE LEAGUE

Minor League (9-10 year olds)
This is the first league that is an all-kid pitch league with umpires and
games being scored. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the
pitching distance is 40 feet, and home games are played at Pleasant
Ridge Park at 6pm unless otherwise noted. Teams are drafted after
the Skills Evaluation Day (typically in late March if needed) and a
parent/legal guardian will be contacted by the coach of team assigned
to and schedule by the end of March. After the 12-game regular
season played within the district (road games do occur). There is a
District All-Star tournament that starts in late June and a roster is
made up by the league coaches based on regular season play.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this level of
Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application
and passing a required national background check, parents may
become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers,
umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions
within the league. No prior coaching experience is needed to become
a coach. FLAG LL is here to help coaches with practice plans and
help guide as needed.
