Little League (Major Division) 11-12

The Little League Softball® division (sometimes known as the Major
Division) is for players ages 11-12. The field uses a 60-foot diamond
and a 40 foot pitching distance. Home games are played at Pleasant
Ridge Park typically at 6pm unless otherwise noted and away games
are played within the district.

Teams are drafted after the Skills Evaluation Day (typically in late
March if needed) and a parent/legal guardian will be contacted by the
coach of team assigned to and schedule by the end of March. A 12-
game regular season schedule occurs with the culmination of the
District All-Star tournament that starts in late June and a roster is
made up by the league coaches based on regular season play.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in Little League.
After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a
required national background check, parents may become involved in
practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local
league board members and other volunteer positions within the
league. No prior coaching experience is needed to become a coach.
